Frenchy’s Sip and Shop

In 2023, Frenchy’s Ship and Shop partnered with Made Outside to bring a brand-new neighborhood bottle shop to life in Charlotte, NC. Inspired by owner Chris’s travels through France — where wine was not just a drink, but a ritual of gathering and connection — Frenchy’s was envisioned as a welcoming spot for discovering natural wines, global craft beers, and small-batch beverages. From strategy to execution, Made Outside delivered a comprehensive brand identity and visual system that shaped Frenchy’s personality both in-store and online. Our scope included creative direction, logo development, brand guidelines, signage, and marketing templates — all crafted to introduce Frenchy’s as Charlotte’s go-to destination for “drinks worth drinking.”

As a brand-new retail concept, Frenchy’s needed a strong identity that reflected its distinct perspective — equal parts playful, curated, and neighborhood-driven. The challenge was to build a recognizable, cohesive system that could scale across in-store signage, printed collateral, menus, and social platforms — all while feeling personal and rooted in Chris’s inspiration from France. The brand also needed to balance sophistication with approachability to appeal to design-forward, beverage-curious consumers.

Made Outside designed a layered and expressive brand identity that captured Frenchy’s playful spirit and elevated offerings. Drawing from French influence, we combined bold typography, friendly language, and a flexible visual system that extended across signage, menus, marketing templates, and social content. This comprehensive creative suite gave Frenchy’s the tools to launch confidently, maintain brand cohesion, and grow its presence in Charlotte’s beverage scene. With thoughtful creative direction and a unified visual language, we helped establish Frenchy’s as a neighborhood staple — a place to discover natural wines, global beers, and good company in equal measure.
